The Hospital Authority said on Tuesday that an elderly man diagnosed with coronavirus has died.

It said the 73-year-old male patient, who tested preliminary positive for Covid-19, died early on Tuesday.

The Authority said the chronically ill male patient required resuscitation upon being admitted to Caritas Medical Centre, but his condition continued to worsen.

It said the case has been referred to the coroner.
