Dozens of people belonging to at least ten different groups from different districts and business sectors demonstrated outside the police headquarters on Monday, to express sympathy for the officers injured during the Sha Tin clashes on Sunday.
The demonstrators condemned protesters for attacking police officers.
They also called on the police to strictly enforce the law and to hold people accountable for their violent acts, as well as discourage further conflicts.
Speaking for the Tuen Mun Anti-Violence Alliance, DAB member Johnny Ip said he believes some people are abusing their freedom of speech as some of these people come with "weapons like umbrellas and other stuff in an organised manner".
He said if these kind of activities carried out every weekend, majority of the Hong Kong people will not support that.
"We are also here to condemn all those so-called peaceful demonstrations. They are clearly not peaceful and always turn into violence," he said.
