A member of the Youth Development Commission, Nixie Lam, on Saturday said the government has to be faster in responding to enquiries and calls from the public - as a way to address the current political impasse arising from the extradition bill crisis.
Lam said as much as she welcomes calls for more young people and students to join the commission, that alone cannot solve the problem because the ongoing extradition laws controversy isn't just an issue about youngsters.
She added that it's time for the government to change the way it gathers views from young people, and be more efficient in its interaction with the public.
