A free climber dubbed the 'French Spider-Man' for his skills in clambering up skyscrapers has mounted the Cheung Kong Center in Hong Kong's Central district, unfurling a message calling for peace in the city.
Alain Robert scaled the 68-storey building at about 9am on Friday morning. The banner he revealed showed the national and Hong Kong flags blending together, with a handshake below.
Robert has been a regular visitor to Hong Kong in recent years and has twice before scaled the Cheung Kong Center, the headquarters of tycoon Li Ka-shing's empire.
He's also scaled the Four Seasons Hotel and the Far East Financial Centre.
Just last year, he was ordered by Eastern Magistrates not to climb any building in Hong Kong for 12 months, in return for the dropping of a public nuisance charge relating to his attempt to climb the Hang Seng Bank headquarters in 2011.
The ban expired earlier this month.
