Five pro-democracy figures have been charged with additional offences in relation to anti-government protests ahead of their first appearance in an illegal assembly case on Monday.
Former lawmakers Albert Ho, Lee Cheuk-yan, Cyd Ho and Leung Kwok-hung, as well as activist Figo Chan, all received additional charges of inciting unlawful assembly.
Lee, Chan , Albert Ho and Leung were charged in relation to a protest on October 1, while all except Lee were charged, along with Cyd Ho, with the same offence in relation to a protest on October 20.
