  • Feature: Musicians hope protest anthem goes global

With the Hong Kong protests in the spotlight around the world, anti-government protesters have been eager to cater to international audiences by waving flags of overseas countries, holding demonstrations to appeal to specific countries, and chanting protest slogans in English as well as Cantonese.

As part of this effort to reach out far beyond Hong Kong, a conductor and some friends are working to push out an English, orchestral version of ‘Glory to Hong Kong’ – the anonymously-penned, unofficial anthem of the protest movement. RTHK's Timmy Sung takes a look at why they think an English version is needed.
