The chairman of i-Cable Communications, David Chiu, said on Saturday that the company's free-to-air subsidiary, Fantastic TV, will launch its new English channel in June.

Chiu, who rescued the loss-making cable TV operator, became its chairman last year. He is also a CPPCC delegate.

Speaking in Beijing, Chiu also revealed that i-Cable's pay-TV service is planning to buy more than 10 channels from 21st Century Fox. He said he was ready to further inject at least HK$500 million to hire more staff if necessary.
