Immigration data shows record numbers of people using the bridge to Macau and Zhuhai and the express rail line from West Kowloon on Wednesday, reflecting high Lunar New Year demand.
Almost 140,000 people used the bridge on Wednesday- a record since its opening last October.
The train station in West Kowloon also saw its busiest day on Wednesday, with more than 96,000 people travelling on the line.
That's well over the government's daily target of 80,100.
More than a million people arrived in or departed from Hong Kong on Wednesday.
