Elderly Woman Hit By Minibus, Driver Arrested

A 86-year-old woman was killed on Sunday after being struck by a minibus in Tseung Kwan O while crossing the road.
The woman was crossing a road near Metro City Plaza when she was struck at around 8.30 in the morning.
She suffered severe head injuries and was unconscious when she was taken to Queen Elizabeth hospital. She was certified dead early in the afternoon.
Police arrested the 68-year-old minibus driver on suspicion of dangerous driving. He has been released on bail, but will have to report back to police in late March.
