  • Elderly woman held after abuse footage goes viral

A 79-year-old woman has been arrested in Wong Tai Sin after a video showing physical abuse of a domestic worker went viral online.

The suspect has been charged with common assault and criminal intimidation.

In the footage, a woman can be seen threatening and attacking her helper – said to be an 35-year-old from Indonesia.

The three-minute long video showed the old lady repeatedly smacking the helper who was lying on the bed.

The woman is also heard saying the helper has made her angry and even threatening to kill her.
