  • Driver in fatal Tai Po crash denied bail

The KMB bus driver involved in the fatal Tai Po crash earlier this month has again been denied bail.

Chan Ho-ming asked Fanling Magistracy for bail to look after his elderly parents. However, the application was rejected by the magistrate, who said the case is simply too serious.

This is the second time that the court has rejected his bail application.

The 30-year-old has been charged with dangerous driving causing death over the accident in which 19 people died.

The prosecutors have said that they may lay more serious charges against Chan. He's due to appear at the court again in April.
