A doctor was among 63 new coronavirus cases linked to a dance cluster that were reported on Wednesday, pushing the tally for the cluster to 250.

The 75-year-old obstetrician works at two clinics in Mong Kok and Ma On Shan.

One of her close contacts studies at Victoria Shanghai Academy, a private primary and secondary school in Aberdeen. The school has been advised to suspend classes temporarily.

Health authorities reported a total of 85 cases on Wednesday.

Of the 21 other new local cases, there were 16 that could not be traced – including a cleaner who worked at AsiaWorld-Expo. The Hospital Authority said the woman didn’t work at its temporary medical facility there.

The Centre for Health Protection’s Dr Chuang Shuk-kwan said another patient, a 52-year-old woman, may have infected a close contact who just returned from Shenzhen and was being put under home quarantine in Hong Kong.

There was also one imported case from the UK.

More than 60 others have tested preliminary positive, including a nurse who works at Gleneagles Hospital and a worker at Siu King Care and Attention Centre in To Kwa Wan.

Officials said the care home worker had not come into contact with elderly residents at the facility. More than 30 staff and 20 residents at the care home have tested negative for the virus.
