  • Disabled call for more job opportunities

Jake Tang, the Wing Wah Charity Foundation's deputy CEO

About 30 people, some of them wheelchair-bound, on Tuesday protested against the government in Civic Square for failing to encourage the hiring of people with disabilities.

They called for a mandatory system to ensure companies have staff with disabilities make up a certain proportion of their workforce.

Wing Wah Charity Foundation's deputy CEO, Jake Tang, who cannot move the limbs on his right-hand side, said such a policy was needed as many disabled people find it hard to get a job.
