Property developers on Friday dangled the prospect of another flat giveaway in a bid to boost the city’s vaccination rate.
Sino Group's Ng Teng Fong Charitable Foundation and Chinese Estates Holdings are already offering a one-bedroom flat worth HK$10.8 million as the grand prize in a lucky draw for permanent adult residents who’ve received both doses of the Covid-19 vaccine by September 1.
On Friday, they said they will hold another lucky draw for a HK$12-million flat – but only if five million Hong Kong residents get their first dose of the coronavirus vaccine by the end of September.
The second flat is also at the Grand Central development in Kwun Tong, and has a floor area of 468 square feet.
People who sign up but don't win the first flat when the lucky draw is held on September 8 will automatically be put into the pot for the second lottery.
Those who’ve only received one dose of the vaccine may sign up for that draw between September 2 and 30.
Government data shows that, as of Thursday, 3.16 million people have had their first dose of the Covid jab.
