The Democratic Party says two of its lawmakers were arrested early on Wednesday by police investigating last year's social unrest, including clashes at Yuen Long MTR station on July 21.
Ted Hui and Lam Cheuk-ting were picked up at their homes at about 6am, according to posts on the party's social media accounts.
Both men are said to be suspected of offences relating to a protest outside Tuen Mun police station on July 6 last year.
The party says Lam is also suspected of rioting in relation to the July 21 incident at Yuen Long MTR station. That night, a white-shirted mob attacking people who they believed were returning from an anti-extradition protest.
Police have yet to comment on the arrests.
