Two more elderly patients have died of Covid-19, raising the tally here in Hong Kong to 35.

Tests taken on an 88-year-old male patient who died at United Christian Hospital on Saturday showed he had been infected with the coronavirus.

Meanwhile, a 94-year-old man who had tested positive died at Queen Mary Hospital on Sunday.

He had been a resident of Choi Hung Estate, where an outbreak was reported during this third wave of infections.

Most of the Covid-19 deaths here in Hong Kong involved elderly patients.
