A policewoman has been charged with accessing the force's internal system with dishonest or criminal intent.

A police spokesman said that during an internal investigation, they discovered the officer had allegedly obtained internal materials through its system in 2018.

After a probe, and obtaining legal advice, the policewoman was arrested on October 7 and suspended from duty.

The 33-year-old officer is expected to appear at the West Kowloon court on Wednesday for mention.
