Clerical Assistant Accused Of Doxxing Denied Bail

Eastern Court has denied bail to an Immigration Department clerk who is alleged to have put online more than 225 people’s personal data she took from on the department’s computer database.
The 25-year-old clerical assistant appeared in court on Saturday. She faces five charges, including that of misconduct in public office and access to a computer with dishonest intent but no plea was entered yet.
Prosecution alleges that between December last year and this month, she got hold of the personal data of police officers, government officials, judges, magistrates and lawmakers, as well as their family members, and uploaded the information on social media.
The defendant’s application for bail was rejected, and the case was adjourned to October 19 pending futher police investigation, including examination of the defendant’s phone and computer.
