Civic Party Reports Alleged Attack On Councillor

The vice chairwoman of the Sham Shui Po District Council has alleged she was attacked by a group of people collecting signatures on the street demanding national security laws be enacted.
Janet Ng, who is a member of the Civic Party, said she suffered injuries to her arm and face.
The Civic Party said she saw a young man being attacked by the group in Mei Foo and, as she was trying to learn what was going on, she was also hit.
The party, which has reported the incident to the police, also alleged Ms Ng was twice pushed to the ground.
