Civic Party chairman Alan Leong and the party's leader in the Legislative Council, Alvin Yeung, said on Monday that they will be appraising US officials of the latest situation in Hong Kong during a visit to the country.
The two men will start their visit to the US from Saturday.
Leong said he will be describe how "authoritarian" the Hong Kong government has become when he meets US State Department officials and members of Congress.
He will also be briefing a conference organised by the Heritage Foundation on Hong Kong's situation.
The Civic Party chief said they haven't considered how the SAR or central governments will react to their visit.
"We are there are to supply what the government has refused to tell. This role of mine remains the same from the previous two occasions that I visited," he said. "The government of course can make use of its propaganda machinery and tell its piece."
Leong said he also expects to discuss concerns about a trade war between the US and China at the Heritage Foundation, and plans to meet American trade representatives.
He said a US-initiated trade war would undo all the good work of bringing the mainland into the World Trade Organisation.
