The General Post Office in Central is closed for Wednesday and Thursday, after a postman tested preliminary positive for Covid-19.
Hongkong Post says he checks mail at the counter and collects post boxes.
It has arranged all his colleagues to test for the coronavirus, and the facilities and mail items will be thoroughly disinfected.
The department says it's sorry for the inconvenience caused, as it asks people to go to nearby post offices for postal services.
