The Chief Executive, Carrie Lam, has issued her Lunar new year message on the eve of the year of the pig, wishing everyone a healthy and prosperous year ahead.
In a one-minute video, Lam is shown wearing traditional Chinese attire as she visits dried seafood and flower shops in Sheung Wan, exchanges good wishes with citizens and taking pictures with them.
She said the Lunar new year is an important festival for families to spend time together.
“This year is the year of the pig. I wish you all a healthy and prosperous year ahead,” she said.
