  • Car driver hurt in Tsim Sha Tsui drive-by shooting

Police said on Tuesday that they had registered a case of attempted murder after a 45-year-old man was shot while driving his car in Tsim Sha Tsui.

The officers said the man was shot by someone on a motorcycle after he had stopped his car at the intersection of Austin Road and Canton Road.

After the incident, the man drove himself to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, according to the police.

Police arrived at the shooting scene soon afterwards and conducted a search on Austin Road, looking at the road and pavements in what appeared to be a search for bullet casings.

They later placed markers on the road and covered what looked like a cartridge case.

The man’s car, which was left outside Queen Elizabeth Hospital, showed damage on both sides and the driver's door was left open.
