One of the six Legco seats in the Kowloon West geographical constituency has been empty for nearly a year and a half, since the disqualification of Youngspiration's Yau Wai-ching for failing to take her oath properly.
Yau is not trying to win it back, but another disqualified pro-democracy lawmaker is: Edward Yiu – who previously represented the Architectural, Surveying, Planning and Landscape Functional Constituency before he lost his seat for the same reason – is up against DAB District Councillor Vincent Cheng and independent candidate Tsoi Tung-chau in the race.
RTHK’s Janice Wong sat down with City University political commentator Cheung Chor-yung to find out his thoughts on the way this constituency is shaping up for Sunday’s polls.
