Bus Crash Leaves Driver Dead, 14 Passengers Hurt

A Citybus driver was killed and 14 passengers injured on Thursday afternoon after their bus was involved in a collision with a truck near the Tai Lam Tunnel in Pat Heung.
Both vehicles were believed to have been heading towards Yuen Long when the accident happened at around 2pm.
Firefighters freed the driver from the wreckage of the cab of the bus which was severely damaged in the smash. But the driver was later pronounced dead in hospital.
Ambulance crews treated bus passengers at the scene, some of them for head injuries, before they were taken to hospital.
The truck driver was believed to have suffered minor injuries in the collision.
