Pro-Beijing groups gathered outside the police's headquarters in Wan Chai on Tuesday morning, to thank the force for their work in taking on anti-government protesters.
Members of the DAB party rallied outside the police complex condemning the protesters and warning that the campaign against planned extradition laws has now become an attempted revolution.
They also echoed a claim made by Chief Executive Carrie Lam on Monday that the protests are a challenge to "one country, two systems".
DAB legislator Ben Chan said his party has huge respect for police officers who have been clearing the streets of protesters night after night.
"We support the police and law enforcement to maintain social order," Chan said.
"I would like to strongly condemn the violent attacks on police ... disrupting social order. [The] violence includes arson, attacking police stations and some residents, and even fights in the streets. This is contrary to the principles that we have."
After the DAB had finished their show of support for the police, around 20 members of the Hong Kong Fujian Women Association handed officers a fruit basket as a token of their appreciation.
