Police fired multiple bean-bag rounds outside the Mong Kok police station, as demonstrators again returned to the protest hotspot again to set fires on the streets and aim their laser pointers at police.
Protesters threw what appeared to be a molotov cocktail towards the entrance of the station – past giant water barriers that have been set up outside.
However, it didn’t catch fire.
Protesters then jeered the police, and shone laser pointers towards the station as officers pointed their torches back.
Police rushed out at one point to make several arrests, wounding several suspect in the process.
At around 12.30 on Monday morning, police shot multiple bean-bag rounds towards people who had been huddled behind a utility box across the street. Officers warned people to disperse or they may fire again.
