The government on Monday evening imposed an ambush lockdown on Tsim Sha Tsui Mansion to carry out mandatory Covid-19 tests for residents.
With effect from 8.30pm, residents living in the building on 83-97 Nathan Road / 36-50 Lock Road are required to stay at home until they get their test results back.
The exercise is expected to last until 7am the next day.
It has been two weeks since the last lockdown, which no confirmed cases found.
The operation was mounted as authorities recorded nine new coronavirus cases, of which six were locally acquired.
