Air Canada Flights Banned For 2 Weeks Over Covid

The Department of Health on Friday banned all direct flights from Vancouver operated by Air Canada between October 16 and 29.
The authority said the move was taken because a passenger tested positive for Covid-19 on Wednesday, and another passenger failed to comply with the SAR government's anti-epidemic control measures.
Meanwhile, health officials reported nine new Covid-19 infections on Friday, all of them imported.
The patients, aged between 3 and 68, flew in from the Philippines, Canada, Russia, Egypt, India and Maldives.
Two of them had developed symptoms, and six were fully vaccinated.
Separately, the Centre for Health Protection ordered people who have stayed at Jones Hive in Causeway Bay, Block C of Hankow Centre in Tsim Sha Tsui and Tower 10 of Phase 3, The Graces in Tai Po to get tested by Saturday, in relation to infections detected earlier.
