Prominent pro-democracy activist Agnes Chow has pleaded guilty at the Eastern Magistracy to charges related to a major protest outside the police headquarters on June 21 last year.
Chow pleaded guilty to inciting others to participate in an unlawful assembly outside the building in Wan Chai, and also to participating in an unauthorised assembly.
She was appearing at the Eastern Magistracy alongside other former members of the Demosisto group – Joshua Wong and Ivan Lam.
Wong, who was charged with inciting others to participate in an unlawful assembly and participating in an unlawful assembly, pleaded not guilty. Lam also pleaded not guilty, to inciting others to participate in an unlawful assembly.
The case has been adjourned to August 5, when the court is expected to hand down its verdict for Chow, and conduct a pre-trial review for Wong and Lam's case.
