Health authorities on Saturday found around 670 preliminary positive cases during overnight lockdowns of ten buildings in Aberdeen, Tuen Mun, Kwai Chung, Kwun Tong, Wong Tai Sin and Tseung Kwan O.
Four buildings in Kwai Chung and Tuen Mun were cordoned off on Friday, and around 3,380 residents from Tip Sum House at the Butterfly Estate, Block 4 on the Po Tin Estate, as well as Fu Man House and Fu Pong House at the Tai Wo Hau Estate underwent testing.
Three blocks at the Wo Lok Estate – Ping On House, Tai On House and Yee On House – were also put under lockdown, with around 480 residents tested.
Over 4,900 people from Kin Ching House at the Kin Ming Estate, Lei Fook House at the Ap Lei Chau Estate and Kai Fai House at the Choi Wan (II) Estate were also required to be tested.
During the operations, officials also found 95 cases that were deemed indeterminate.
The buildings were placed under lockdowns after sewage samples there tested positive for Covid.
