Five overnight lockdowns concluded on Friday morning, with no preliminary positive cases found in more than 3,300 tests at blocks in Ap Lei Chau, Tai Po, North Point, Happy Valley and Ma On Shan.

Health officials said they tested 720 residents at Block C of Pik On House, Yue On Court on Ap Lei Chau's Yue On Court Road and 490 at the Mei Sun Building on Kau Hui Chik Street in Tai Po.

In North Point, around 590 residents of Block 3, Phase 1 of City Garden on Electric Road were checked. Just 15 residents of a building at Fung Fai Terrace in Happy Valley required testing.

At Ma On Shan, some 1,520 people were tested at Kam Huen House (Block F), Kam Fung Court on Sai Sha Road.

Officials moved in on Thursday evening after residents of each block tested preliminary positive for the virus.

Residents had to stay at home except when taking tests.

In addition, people who stayed in any of the buildings for more than two hours are required to take a test by Saturday.
